ARMUTAN & DAYAZELL

ARMUTAN is a live performance company, specialized in historical themes. For 18 years, the troupe has traveled the roads of France and Europe, inviting the public to discover different worlds: arab-andalusian Spain, France in the 14th century, the golden age of piracy, the conquest of the american west, the adventurers of the 1930s.

DAYAZELL, one of the musical bands of the Armutan company, has been performing for 15 years on various stages, mainly historical festivals, neo-folk and pagan festivals.

Sustainable development

Armutan is committed to limiting its environmental impact and optimizing its social commitment. We measured our greenhouse gas emissions for the year 2023 using the Bilan Carbone® methodology, supported by our partner ECOFINDER:

  • • Our carbon footprint is 66%* lower than that of comparable players in the cultural sector
  • • Our biodiversity impact score is 73/100** (100 being the best score)
  • • We optimize artists’ travel with 70% carpooling (current maximum capacity)
  • • We pay particular attention to the working environment of our artists (National Fund for Social Activities, reception and working conditions, distribution of value, etc.)
  • • 97% of our sets and costumes are made from second-hand items (antique shops, flea markets, etc.) and/or made by craftsmen (blacksmiths, luthiers, etc.)
  • • We also limit the use of plastic as much as possible: around 7% plastic on all sets, costumes and accessories used during shows
